This series of 24 paintings is inspired by the questionnaire know as VALs, which stands for Values, Attitudes and Lifestyles and is maintained by Strategic Business Insights (SBI) of Silicon Valley. The questionnaire "segments US adults into eight distinct types—or mindsets—using a specific set of psychological traits and key demographics that drive consumer behavior".

The paintings are organized around a simple base cluster: every permutation of a binary 2x6 (+ one) matrix. Each of the 8,192 unique clusters are painted by hand using a needle. Additionally, each of the 24 paintings is a unique variation of the CMYK color code.
